Tuesday I got the chance to see H.E.R live in concert. This woman is known for her incredible voice yet mysterious persona. H.E.R is an acronym for “Having everything revealed”, and that is the definition of her on and off stage.
The way she uses music to probe all wounds, whether Its regarding her love life or personal well being is amazing. Her music definitely has assisted me in my time of need and by the looks of It I’m not the only one who feels this way.
The amount of love she received last night was incredible. I turned around about 5 times just to get a view of the amount of support she has through her fans and It was beautiful. I love seeing people prosper, especially at such a young age.
H.E.R voice is mesmerizing, I teared up and had chills every time she hit a note. The way she executed every word by using different variations of her voice with each song traveled across the city of Philadelphia. Her background singers were in beautiful harmony alongside her and served not only as added talent on stage, but as a support system.
I would like to mention as well all of the opening performances. Good Girl, Arin Ray, and the beautiful Tiara Thomas. The audience was able to witness the unity and sisterhood displayed during Good Girls performance, listen to Arin’s serenade about the feeling of being in love, and experience Tiara Thomas versatility. Each opening act was breathtaking and if I had the chance to experience it all over again I would.
Last night was all about R&B. We must never lose sight of an original sound. I am greatful for those that are; staying true to themselves, their roots, and not allowing a fad going on in the music industry to stray them away from their sound. Thank you to each artist that performed last night, until we meet again!
Who Is Not Talking About Teyana Taylor?
Can you say encore for 5000 please! Every single walk was breathtaking, I could not keep my eyes off of her, and I know you could not either.
For a while now, modeling has become very uniform and routine. Many creative directors, choreographers, models, etc. have fallen under the same umbrella. Therefore, due to lack of creativity and individuality, fashion shows have become less entertaining for the audience to watch.
I must say Ms. Teyana takes the cake! The flamboyance and fearlessness that she displays while floating across the stage is impeccable.
Teyana willingly takes what many would consider risks, but effortlessly delivers nothing but extraordinary work. As an industry they need this young woman because she is truly a game changer and without a doubt a rule breaker!
“When The haters tried to say I was to extra yesterday… I turned around and closed another runway show even more extra” Says Ms Taylor.
Thank you love for daring to be different, sticking to your original plan, and spicing up this monotonous industry. Teyana, you are truly an Icon.

I'm extremely happy for my girls success, rise of fame, and notoriety. Also I'm here for that band wagon coin and I'll always support. The problem that I have is that these "fans" are beyond phoney.
Also, I develop personal and spiritual connections with all of my underground artists and it's difficult for me accept when they have transfer to mainstream. Those intimate concert halls that I come and watch them perform at turn into stadiums.
This does not stop me from supporting their music because that's just pure jealousy and immaturity. What this does do is change the relationship between the artist and I. If your thinking to yourself "Why does she take this shit so serious?" It is because music legit feeds my soul and that will never end.
Miami, Florida Trip
On our last day in Miami, my boyfriend and I visited Wynwood's Art Walk. We stumbled upon a beautiful gallery called "Glottman". They specialize in home decor and even offer renovation services. We were amazed by every single item. From the furniture to the upside down plants dangling from the walls. We will definitely be using their services and purchasing their pieces. Thank you so much for needed inspiration!

Obsessed with this beautiful work of art. I have been a fan of Yuna for a long time now. She continues to evolve as an artist but always stay true to her sound. I highly recommend everyone to give this album a listen!
Conformity vs Individuality
Social media has such a strong influence on today's society it's frightening.
It controls how everyone is suppose to dress, eat, drink, smoke, talk, etc.
I am not talking about fads or trends, I'm talking about manipulation.
For example, everyday many try to replicate a Yeezy Season fashion show so bad but that's not you.
The nude trench coat, body suit, and clear plastic boots is not your own "sense of style" (Don't get me wrong I like the Yeezy collection), but because it's trending on the popular page you must follow suit. Basically, society is allowing social media to force them into conforming .
This empire is creating robots, nobody has a mind of their own. I understand that bandwagon and conformity has been around since the beginning of time, but the difference is social media is the God of compliance and has been proven so.
It's extremely difficult to even have a intellectual conversation with anyone now a days because majority are ghostly figures with no substance.
I just hope everyone wakes up eventually and are able to truly find themselves.

I got a chance to profile the beautiful Chelsea Appiah. She manages to intrigue her followers with her style and wit. This young lady is a wizard when it comes to her closet. Each outfit tells a story and I wanted to find out exactly what that story is.
Where are you from ? I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Although I’ve lived here almost all of my life there are many parts of it I have yet to explore.
Do you feel like your culture has affected your style? I used to attempt to put myself in a box and check off what category my personal sense of style would fall under, but I quickly learned that I don’t have just one style. There are a variety of styles that influence me, that’s the beauty of fashion it’s fluid and it’s subjective. I have fun with fashion because it doesn’t have to be serious. One day I may dress bohemian. Next day I will wear a grunge look. Then, I will go for a tomboy-inspired fit. Diversity is so important in an ever evolving world, being open to change and explore new ideas is part of growth for me.
Do you have a style inspo? I yes then who ? And why ? As an observer of life and people, there are so many resources to pull inspiration from even if we initially don’t think it has much significance. Fellow millennials like Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Zendaya, and Yara Shahidi inspire me to continue to express myself through my clothing and not be afraid of taking risk. Women like Tracee Ellis Ross inspire me when I see her wear bold colors and prints. While Salonge Knowles is expressing herself unapologetic-ally. The list goes on and on, because anything can be influential if it speaks to you. As humans we are influencing those around us by simply existing.
If you could colab with one fashion icon who would it be and why ? It’s so hard to choose just one, so many different aspects of life influence me. At the moment one particular person comes to mind, but they have left their mark and for that I am appreciative.
